He was born July 5, 1952 in Oberlin and was a 1970 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. Duke was employed as a Computer Operator by United Consumer Financial Services of Westlake for 20 years. Duke was an avid builder of models, electronics enthusiast, and music and movie fanatic. He will be remembered for his love of aviation, history, science and general curiosities. Duke is survived by his mother, Edna Gower of North Ridgeville; siblings, Denise (Stephen) Tharrett, of Highland Village, TX, Dirk (Julie) Gower and Daniel Gower, both of Elyria; nieces and nephews, Travis and Alyssa Tharrett, Carrie (Richard) Masters, Claire Gower and Nigel Gower; and a great-nephew Edwin Masters. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Gower in 2001; and a brother, David Gower in 2012.
