Dorothy Ann Ryder, age 93, of Fair Grove, Missouri passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 9, 2019 at Magnolia Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 14, 1926 on Frontenac, Kansas the daughter of John Turlip and Helen (Smith) Turlip. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Loren Lee Ryder on November 14, 2014. Dorothy is survived by her children, Dorothy Bendure and her husband Jim, Gena Gideon and her husband Terry, Mary Ryder, Linda Hegarty, John Ryder and his wife Carol, Loren Ryder; one brother, John Turlip; a sister-in-law, Betty Taylor; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am Monday, May 13, 2019 at St. Agnes Cathedral, 533 S. Jefferson in Springfield with Father Lewis Hejna officiating. Burial will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Agnes Cathedral, 533 S. Jefferson, Springfield, Missouri 65806 or Public Broadcasting System of the Ozarks, 901 S.
