Doris’ Obituary Doris Jean Bias Akers, 87, of Proctorville, Ohio, formerly of Newark Ohio, passed away May 23, 2019 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born May 26, 1931 at West Hamlin, WV, the daughter of Crosby E. Bias and Eva G. Johnson Bias. She was preceded in death by her 11 siblings- Oneida Bias Dillon, Juanita Bias Hodge, Ceybert Bias, Dorsey Bias, Forrest Bias, Glennith Bias Ross, Jessie Bias Riley, Calvin Bias, LeAnna Bias, Crosby Bias Jr. and Dewanda Bias Zirkle. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including her close nieces and nephew, Mike Riley, Becky Smith, De-Anna Schotts and Deb Tabor. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Oh. There will be a graveside service at Newark Memorial Gardens, 4244 Marion Road, Newark Ohio 43055 at 12:00 on May 28, 2019 with Pastor Brady Lipscomb officiating. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Wyngate at Rivers Edge in Proctorville, Ohio for their wonderful care of Doris. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice are preferred or to an animal shelter as Doris was a great lover of animals.
