Diane Fleming, 84, of Bordentown, NJ, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton, surrounded by her family. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a longtime parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, where she volunteered, was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, Senior Citizen Club and the Prayer Shawl Group. She was also a member of the Bordentown Township Senior Club, Hamilton Energetic Leisure Club and the Groveville Golden Hour Club. Diane enjoyed bus trips with various local senior groups, going to the casino and dinner theatre shows. She retired from the State of NJ Department of Environmental Protection. Diane was an avid animal lover and was happiest when spending time with her family and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Harvilla; her first husband, Donald Zielinski; and her second husband, John Fleming, Sr.; she is survived by her children, Joanne (Richard) DiBraccio, Theresa (Peter) Pluschau, Diane (John) Patterson, and Donald Zielinski; her step-son, John, Jr. (Melinda) Fleming; her grandchildren, Gregory (Melissa), Anthony (Michelle), Nicholas, Kiersten, Matthew, Tyler, Peter, Katelyn and Matthew; her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Elianna, Adalyn and Haley; her brother, Joseph (Carol) Harvilla; her several nieces and nephews; and her feline friends, Serena, Mia and Peanut. Funeral services will begin on Friday, May 17, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. at the Saul Memorial Home at Batchelor Brothers, Inc., 1740 Greenwood Avenue, Hamilton, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton, NJ 08690. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Saul Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Diane’s memory to St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church or Hamilton Township Animal Shelter and Adoption Center by visiting In Memory Of at inmemof.org.
