David Gerald Pittman, 70 of Greenville, SC passed away May 23, 2019. Through his faith in Jesus Christ as Lord, David entered into the rest of God’s eternal kingdom. Born in Greenville, SC to Creston Lowell Pittman and Jessie Darnell Pittman, David was the youngest of seven children. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters; Annie Mae (Girardeau), Lucille, Dorothy, Peggy, and brother William. David is survived by his sister, Clara Corbin (Garden City). David is also survived by his wife of 46 years, Ruby Belle Graham, and their five children, thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild. The children, of whom David was so proud are; Greg (Heather Wilcox, Lexington) Marc (Stephanie Sherman, Columbia), Kelly (Rusty Boone, Travelers Rest), Bryan (Emily Clark, Lyman), and Whitney Aman (Taylors). The grandchildren who brought him so much joy and laughter are; Greg’s-Graham, Wyatt, and Elena. Marc’s-Christopher and Heather. Kelly’s- Samuel, Benjamin, Joseph, Jacob, and Hannah. Bryan’s- Bethany. Whitney’s- Alaina and Gabriel, and his great-grandson, Stephen (Christopher). David was a 1967 graduate of Parker High School in Greenville, SC. He was a hard-working and dedicated career employee of Winn-Dixie and BI-LO, serving for over 30 years as a produce department manager and inspector. The family will hold a private memorial service in June.
