David Ergle December 12 1942 May 2 2019

David Ergle, 76 of Lithia Springs, passed away surrounded by his loving family at his home on Thursday, May 2, 2019. He was born in Atlanta on December 12, 1942, the son of Charles Ergle and Jewel Wood Ergle. He was a self-taught heavy duty truck mechanic and a self-taught craftsman. He had the ability to create and build just about anything. He enjoyed mud racing and Harley Davidson motorcycles, hot rods, working on old cars and spending time with his family. Mr. Ergle is survived by his wife, Barbara Rottmann Ergle; sons and daughter-in-law, Bill Ergle of Powder Springs, Tracy & Stacy Ergle of Acworth and Jason Ergle of Lithia Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jason Baker of Lithia Springs; brother and sister-in-law Luther and Vicki Ergle and their son, James Ergle; grandchildren, Christopher Ergle of Powder Springs and Xander Ergle of Acworth, and special family friend Lisa Mize. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathleen Reitz, and brothers Edward Ergle and Lewis Ergle. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, May 19, in the chapel of Roy Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice in memory of David Ergle.
