Darin L. Smith, 32, of Claysburg died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 as a result of injuries sustained in a truck accident in Richmond, VA. Mr. Smith was born in Bedford on September 12, 1986, the son of Allan and Cindy Smith of Osterburg. Darin is survived by his Parents Allan and Cindy Smith, Osterburg; Daughter- Kaydence Smith; Girlfriend Dorothy Huth and daughter Faith of Claysburg; Sister- Marlena Metz, Bedford; Brother- Nathan Claycomb and wife Kylee of Imler; Maternal Grandparents Zane and Shirley Mitchell, New Paris; Nephews- Kylar, Owen and Zander; Nieces Addison and Rory Claycomb; Mr. Smith is preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents Robert and Anna Louise Smith. He was currently employed at RJ Trucking in Bellwood as an over the road CDL Driver. Prior to that he worked as a diesel mechanic at Allegheny Trucks in Altoona. Darin also served his country in the U.S. Army. In his youth he enjoyed playing baseball, football, hunting and fishing. His favorite pastime was racing go karts with his father and brother at many area tracks. Darin loved his family vacations at the beach and the happiest day of his life was the day his daughter Kaydence was born. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 6-8PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
