Connie Jo “McNelly” Smith, 63, of Vincennes IN, passed away May 27th, 2019. Connie was born on April 4th, 1956, in Rantoul, Illinois, She was married on August 21st, 1992 in Vincennes, IN, to Steve Smith, the daughter of Bobby Joe and Elsie McNelly. Connie worked and retired from Gemtron where she worked on the assembly line. Connie loved to garden and going to Florida, camping, dogs, but most importantly she loved her grandkids and was also a Cubs fan. Connie was a member of Bethlehem General Baptist. She is survived by her husband Steve Smith and children Brad and Stephanie Petelle of Vincennes, IN, Justin and Jessica Petelle of West Chester, OH, Joshua and Tai Catiller of Washington, IN, Angela and Chris Cunningham of Lawerenceville, IL, and Amy Hedrick of Allendale, IL, one sister Cecilia Flowers of Waverly, TN, and one brother Jeff (Misty) Hamilton of Salina, KS, also with 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is preceded in her death by her father, Bobby Joe McNelly and one half sister Frieta Renee Mc Nelly. A visitation will take place Thursday, May 30th, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, at Fredrick and Son McClure Utt, Vincennes Chapel. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 31st, 2019 at 11:00am at the Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Bethlehem General Baptist Church.
