Charles Hurst, 72, of Bradford, passed away May 13, 2019 at his residence. He was born December 10, 1946 at Oxford, Kansas to the late Earnest and Phydellous Hackler Hurst. Mr. Hurst served in the US Army, touring Germany during Vietnam, serving as an ammunitions sergeant. Returning from the military, he worked the majority of his career as a general contractor. In his past-time, he enjoyed many things to include woodworking, metalworking, astronomy, fishing, and all things artillery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Lawrence Hurst. He married Kay Bearden Hurst May 13, 1965 at Lyons, Kansas; she survives. He is also survived by a son, John Hurst (Carol) of St. Louis, Missouri; two daughters, Sherry Hurst (Daniel) of Batesville, Mississippi and Melania Macias (Jason) of Greenville, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Isabella and Liam; as well as many friends and extended family.
