Carmelo Tramontano, 94, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully o Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Care One in Holmdel. Carmelo was born on January 8, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up and lived for the majority of his life. On May 8, 1949, Carmelo and his wife, Josephine, were married and began their lives together. Recently, they settled in Holmdel, New Jersey. Before retirement, Carmelo worked for New York City Water Treatment and was also a proud United States Army Veteran, having served our country during World War II. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Jennie (Mazzella) Tramontano. Carmelo is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 70 years, Josephine (Indelicato) Tramontano and his loving children, Robert Tramontano of Brooklyn, New York and Nancy Tramontano of Brooklyn, New York. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of the family’s wishes, Carmelo’s services will be held privately and he will be privately cremated.
