Buzz Evans, age 66 of Greenville, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 12, 2019. Buzz was a guy who loved being outdoor and doing things with his hands. For years he worked at Electrolux in Greenville repairing refrigerators. When he wasn’t working he could be found outdoor working with his flower and vegetable garden, or taking the grandkids fishing, or attending their various sporting events and school activities. Before his health worsened, Buzz was an avid hunter. He also liked taking various cruises to all sorts of destinations throughout the world. Surviving Buzz is his wife, Rhonda (Larsen) Evans of Greenville; daughters, Amanda (Tim) Minikey of Sheridan; Onole (Josh) Peters of Bordentown, New Jersey; grandchildren, Makaya Minikey; Erin Minikey; Chase Minikey; Pierce Peters and Keaton Peters; sisters, Geila (Terry) Teegardin of Sheridan; Twyla (Al) Peterman of Traverse City; brothers, Terry (Wendy) Evans of Sheridan; Rick (Cindy) Evans of Sheridan; sister-in-law, Sandy Wise of Greenville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim & Ann Larsen of Lakeview and Dale & Pat Larsen of Greenville; lifelong friends and cruising partners, Jerry & Vera Parker of Saranac; many nieces, nephews and cousins and his beloved dog, Bridgett. Buzz was preceeded in death by his parents, Harlow & Ellen (Kosten) Evans; stepdad, Alvin Clemens; sister, Janice Kinsey; nephew, Michale Evans; great niece, Jadelyn Evans; brother-in-law, Doug Wise and father-in-law, Gerald R. Larsen. Visitation is being held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5 to 7 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main Street). Memorial services for Buzz will begin at 11 AM on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Pastor Jim Vandewarker officiating.
