Charles Ray “Blue” Millikan, 65, of Randleman, died Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at his home. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Blue was born in Randolph County on September 17, 1953. He was a metal fabricator and he served in the US Marine Corps. He attended Hope Baptist Church in Sophia. Blue enjoyed mowing the land that God gave him, spending time with his grandchildren, and especially watching his grandson play baseball. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Frank Millikan; mother, Mary Elizabeth Russell Millikan Coltrane, and his brother, Bernie Millikan. Surviving are his wife, Cathy Laughlin Millikan; daughter, Toni Lynn Millikan Smith (Ray); sister, Sandra Oldham; brother, Joe Millikan (Jean); grandchildren, Jaden Ray Smith, Zander Mason Smith, and Hermonie Ann Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959; Hope Baptist Church, 4872 Old Edgar Rd, Sophia, NC 27350; or to Midway Wesleyan Church, 331 Worthville Rd, Randleman, NC 27317.
