Canton – Betty Williams Gaddis, 60, of the Henson Cove Community, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Earl and Lucille Stepp Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Kay Williams; and a nephew, Cameron Blake. Betty was employed with Haywood County Schools as cafeteria manager at Meadowbrook Elementary School and attended Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Brandon Gaddis (Sydney) of Candler; and four sisters, Earlene Millington of Newnan, Georgia, Sandy Williams Jones (Joe) and Patty Williams, both of Maggie Valley, and Mary Ann Gibson (David) of Canton; a special aunt, Ruth Jones; and many special nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Pinnacle Church with Pastor Heath Davis, Pastor Caleb Simmons and Pastor Matthew Pressley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, May 6, 2019 at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
