Betty E. Yoho, age 68 of Humboldt, KS, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Diversicare in Chanute, KS. Betty was born on July 16, 1950 to Carl and Pauline (Madison) Grogan in Iola, KS. She married James Yoho in July of 1975 and they were married for 10 years before he passed away in 1985. She then was with Melvin Steele for over 23 years. Betty was a hard worker and worked as in housekeeping at NMRMC and in the warehouse at Gates. She enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, baking, cooking, going to auctions and vegetable gardening. Betty most of all loved her family and spending time with her grandkids. Betty is survived by: Children: Angie Reed and husband Gary “Pete” of Humboldt, KS Michael Yoho and wife Stephanie of Emporia, KS Monica Steinbrook of Neosho Falls, KS Siblings: Barbara Wilson of Iola, KS Janice Puchett of Chanute, KS Dwight Grogan of Colony, KS 16 Grandchildren 2 Great Grandchildren Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Joan Dix and Marilyn K. Seeley. Cremation has been requested. A memorial service will be on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Humboldt, KS.
