Armand A Hebert July 25 1923 May 14 2019 (age 95)

Armand A. Hebert, age 95, of Skyline Drive, passed away at his home surrounded by his beloved family on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Armand was born, raised, and remained a resident of Lyndonville, VT. He was the son of the late Aime and Alice (Biron) Hebert. He graduated from Lyndon Institute in the Class of 1941. He was a veteran of WWII in Europe and served with the U.S. Army in a battalion of engineers building the way for the infantry to advance through Europe. Armand’s family is very proud of his service and dedication to his country. Armand comes from a bilingual and musical family, which served him well during WWII as he was his company’s French translator and bugler. Upon his return home, he joined Hebert & Sons, his family’s plumbing and heating business in Lyndonville, where he remained throughout his career. In 1949, he married Priscilla Smith, also of Lyndonville, sharing nearly 70 loving years. They danced many miles together, cheek-to-cheek. Armand loved his work and friendships, and lived life to its fullest, but his greatest love and source of enjoyment was being with his family. He deeply loved and appreciated family gatherings. He always had a big smile for everyone he met, and a fun story to tell. His hobbies included vegetable gardening, tending to his apple trees and berry bushes, golfing, and photography; and he excelled at all he did. Armand is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla, of Lyndonville; 2 daughters: Candace Carlson of Lyndonville, and Cherry Hebert of Lyndonville; a son: Brad Hebert and wife, Kathy, of Walnut Creek, CA; 3 grandchildren: Tyler Hebert and wife, Kathy, of Lyndonville, Blair Wolston and his wife, Amy, of Burlington, VT, and Alex Wolston and his wife Hillary, of Overland Park, KS; 2 great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Armand Hebert, of Lyndonville; a sister: Pauline Duchaine of Lyndonville; a sister-in-law: Beverly Simblest of Lyndonville; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several siblings. Armand will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday June 8, 2019, at the Lyndonville Congregational Church on Middle Street in Lyndonville. There will be no calling hours.
