Mrs. Annette Wagers age 74 of Barbourville departed this life on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in the UK Hospital in Lexington. She was the daughter of Harvey and Polly (Smallwood) Robinson born to them on July 11, 1944 in Knox County, Kentucky. She united in marriage with Harlan Wagers on August 22, 1959 and together they raised twelve children. She was a member of the Callihan Baptist Church. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, cooking, gardening, watching wrestling and the Nascar races. She is preceded in death by her husband Harlan Wagers, her parents, Harvey and Polly Robinson, two grandchildren, Michael and Hannah Wagers, two brothers, John & Jerry Robinson and one sister Cassie Smith. She leaves behind, seven sons, James Wagers and wife Rowena of Barbourville, Randall Wagers and wife Nancy of Corbin, Harvey Wagers and wife Paula of London, Danny Wagers and wife Lisa of Barbourville, Brian Wagers and wife Linda of London, Clifford Wagers and wife Tracy of Barbourville and Chris Wagers and wife Becky of Barbourville, five daughters, Glenda Sue Robinson and husband Mike of Corbin, Ruth North and husband Terry of Corbin, Tina Newman and friend Tracy Dockins of Athens, TN, Genople Stancil and husband Jay of Corbin and Tracy Coffee and husband Randy of Corbin, one brother, Clifford Robinson and wife Rowena of Barbourville, two sisters, Virginia Argiropoulos and husband Billy and Genople Robinson of London. She also leaves behind thirty-one grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Annette Wagers will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Argiropoulos officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Merrimac Cemetery in London. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. To the family of Mrs. Wagers, the staff of the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home would like to offer you our heartfelt sympathy during your time of bereavement.
