Miss Alice Mae Taylor, 69, of Chase City, VA transitioned from this earthly life on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Miss Taylor was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on June 27, 1949 to the late William E. and Rachel Mae Smith Taylor. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, and was a faithful member of Bluestone Baptist Church in Skipwith, VA. Miss Taylor was a homemaker who loved attending church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William A. Taylor. Cherishing her loving memories are one daughter, Tracey Denise Taylor of Chase City, VA; two brothers, George Taylor and Michael Taylor both of Chase City, VA; four sisters, Avon Taylor and Linda Menjivar both of Chase City, VA, Josephine Taylor of Keysville, VA and Earnestine Taylor of Clarksville, VA, a host of nieces and nephews, her church family, and a vast number of cousins, other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mrs. Alice Mae Taylor will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Bluestone Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Lawrence T. Wilkerson officiating. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
