Alfred Neil Keyes May 13, 1932 – April 29, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Alfred Neil Keyes, age 86, of Hartsburg, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City. He was born in Pulaski County on May 13, 1932, son of the late Brent Edward and Stella Belle (Ferguson) Keyes. On April 7, 1956, Alfred married Patsy Sue Flaugher, who preceded him in death on December 11, 2014. Alfred honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Hartsburg. He is survived by one son, Michael Brent Keyes and wife Marlene of Holts Summit; daughter Melinda Sue Taggart and husband Gary of Holts Summit; four grandchildren, Jeremy Sebastian and wife Leslie, Kelly Roettgen and husband Mark, Kati Giuffrida and husband Marco and Jeff Taggart and wife Julie; and eight great-grandchildren, Allan, Kobe, Taylor, Bryce, Drew, Reed, Olympia, and Helena. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one son, David Neil Keyes and sister, Lora Lee Bilderback and husband Glen. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Friday, May 3, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Mark Hooibrink and David Ray officiating. Interment with military honors will be held in Iberia Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to New Hope Baptist Church.
