OBITUARY Willie Lewis George III October 6, 1956 – February 5, 2019 Willie Lewis George, III, 62, son of Joyce Stainback George and the late Willie Lewis George, II passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Lewis worked for OPW Retail Fueling in Smithfield and was a long time employee of Caterpillar before that. In addition to his mother he is also survived by his lifetime partner of 20 years, Lisa Lovering; son, Brian George and wife Brittany of Fremont; daughter, Deanna George Price and husband Adam of Freemont; step son, Michael Grady and wife Amanda of Dudley; step daughter, Amber England and husband Billy of Dunn; brothers, David George and wife Susan of Raleigh, Jerry George and wife Traci of Zebulon; sisters, Kaye Samford of Raleigh and Joy Crenshaw of Willow Springs; grandchildren, Blainey George, Allison Price, Elayna George, Hallie George and Eleanor England; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Lewis loved his family and enjoyed traveling, playing Blues Harmonica and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was a devoted father and would melt when he was around his 5 beautiful granddaughters. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends prior to the service from 2:30 until 3:30.
