Virgil P. “Buzz”‘s Obituary Mr. Virgil P. “Buzz” Compton, age 86, of Mayfield passed away on Thursday, February 07, 2019 at the home of a friend. He was of the Baptist faith, a member of IBEW Local 816, a member of Mayfield Masonic Lodge #369, a retired cattle farmer and a retired line foreman for 32 years with Mayfield Electric & Water. Mr. Compton is survived by a beloved friend, Judy Elaine Snyder of Hickman County; two daughters, Sonja White of Paducah, KY and Pam West of Mayfield, KY; two sisters, Rilda M. Hayes of Yuma, AZ and Vicky (Kent) Snodgrass of Monroe, MI; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Givens Compton; three brothers, Sammy Douglass Compton, Billy Randall Compton and Everett Eugene Compton; one sister, Maude Evelyn Mussells; one grandchild, Jennifer Compton; and his parents, Eddie and Gracie Collins Compton. Graveside services for Mr. Virgil P. “Buzz” Compton will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Highland Park Cemetery. Interment will follow. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Read More
