OBITUARY Vina E. (Dixon) Nelson August 5, 1932 – February 3, 2019 Vina E. (Dixon) Nelson, 86, passed away February 3, 2019. She was born August 5, 1932 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to the late John and Stella Banks Dixon. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany and Bonnie Sloan Post American Legion. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William L. Nelson; three children, James, John, and Christina Nelson; and siblings, Gracie Poole, Arlie Dixon, Crevin Dixon, and June Dixon. Survivors include her daughters, Jill McLellen (Gary), Janet Nelson (Bobby McKinley), and Patricia Foster (Paul); siblings, Eunice Miller, Nancy Pankey, Julie Kaufer, Roger Dixon, and Debra Hutchison; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 3:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm Wednesday and 12:00 pm ~ 2:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Thursday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
