Veda A Clewell 1916 2019

Obituary of Veda Clewell Veda A. Clewell, age 102, of Blue Bell, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 15, 2019 at her home. She was born in Berwick, PA on February 26, 1916, a daughter of the late Curtis D. and Estella (Kester) Hill. Veda has been living in Blue Bell for 10 years, formerly of West Norriton and Danville, PA. She was a member of Saint John’s Lutheran Church of Blue Bell where she was involved with quilting. She was also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Veda also enjoyed reading and knitting, and was an avid Phillies fan. Most of all, she was dedicated to her family and loved being “Nanny”. She was the wife of the late Clarence W. Clewell who passed in 1989. Survivors inlcude her daughter, Barbara (& Charles) Tornetta; four grandchildren, Andrew, Marie, John & Charles Jr.; and five great grandchildren, Jackson, Rebecca, Zachery, Angela & Christina. Along with her husband and parents, Veda was preceded in death by her brother, Curtis K. Hill and sister, Evelyn H. Miller. Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1802 W. Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church. Interment will take place at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick, PA.
