Tristin Lee Gray, 12, of Roodhouse took his place among the angels Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital. He was born, Dec. 12, 2006, in Jerseyville, the son of Heather Martin (Daniel Davidson) of Roodhouse and Cory Gray of Jacksonville. Surviving are Tristin’s parents; three siblings at home, Jade Gray, Khloe and Peyton Davidson; grandparents, Laura Martin and Greg Holtz of Roodhouse, Steve Cunningham of Jacksonville, Paul Gray of Manchester, and Toni Gray of White Hall; and great grandparents, Ruth Davenport and Ronald Martin both of Roodhouse. Also surviving are many aunts and uncles, Jennifer and TJ Miller, Ronald and Tamara Martin, Amanda Crain, Terry Gibson, Damon Gibson, Jacob Edwards, Ashlea Gray, Paul Gray Jr., and too many cousins to list. Tristin will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was a happy boy with a smile that could melt your heart. Tristin enjoyed swimming, reading books, playing on the tablet, and watching TV. His favorite movie was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Tristin was autistic and nonverbal but used a communication device to communicate. He was extremely proud to be “student of the month” at North Greene Elementary where attended school. The teachers and staff at North Greene were very influential in his life. He was an inspiration to many that knew him. Tristin truly was one-of-a-kind and will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Roodhouse. A visitation will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Autism Awareness or Lymphoma Cancer Awareness.
