Obituary for Trevor Blain Briggs Trevor Blain Briggs, 52, a resident of Shelton and a 1986 graduate of Montesano High School, died Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Oakville, WA. Trevor was born on November 23, 1966 in Aberdeen to George and Billie (Chambers) Briggs. He grew up in Montesano and graduated from Montesano High School in 1986. He joined the US Navy right after graduation. On October 13, 1986, he married Kristi Lee Murphy at Balboa Park in Dan Diego, CA. She resides at the family home. Trevor was stationed on the USS Sacramento and the USS Roanoke, but his favorite was the USS Nimitz. Following his Honorable Discharge, Trevor went to work for Lockheed Martin as an Electronics Technician at Sub-Base Bangor from 2005-2015. He lately was a security guard for Little Creek Casino in Shelton. Trevor was a member of the Bremerton VFW. He enjoyed hiking, riding bikes and going out for dinner. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kristi Briggs of Shelton, WA; a son, John Briggs of Shelton and a daughter, Jennifer (Steven) Whitwam of Shelton; his mother, Billie Briggs of Olympia; a brother, Wm. Todd Briggs of Olympia; grandson, Kolby Winans of Shelton and little Kinley Blain Whitwam due in May. Trevor was preceded in death by a son Brandon Turner. There will be a time of visitation and viewing on Saturday, February 23rd from 8-11 at Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, WA. A funeral service with military honors will take place at 11 AM in Fern Hill Funeral Home’s Chapel. Private graveside will take place later at Wynooche Cemetery, Montesano, WA..
