Great Falls Mrs. Sylvia Bell Shupe, 86, died Thursday, February 14, 2019, at her home. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, February 17, at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Philip Blankenship officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM, Sunday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Shupe was born January 28, 1933 in Cassatt, SC and was a daughter of the late George West and Loutee West. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and was retired from Springs Industries. Mrs. Shupe was a member of Mt. Dearborn United Methodist Church where she was a choir member and a talented musician. She is survived by her husband, Wallace A. “Chuck” Shupe; two children, Robert S. “Bobby” Bell of Great Falls and Charles P. “Chuck” Bell (Carolyn) of Winnsboro; five grandchildren, Sean Jessee, Mark Bundy, Nicole McCallister, Holly Smith and Stokes Bell; seven great grandchildren, James McCallister, Matthew McCallister, Brooke Gainey, Dalton Smith, Emily smith, Jessica Jessee and Gage Bell; and two sisters, Ann Hammons of Rock Hill and Billy Jean Morton of Charleston. Mrs. Shupe was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Bell; one sister; two brothers; and her first husband, Robert Stokes “Bobby” Bell.
