Shirley Jackson Sherwood, age 64 of Clinton passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She retired from the City of Oak Ridge where she was a Cost Account Clerk. Shirley loved reading, music, crocheting and especially spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Barnie and Jessie Jackson and step-son, Jason Sherwood. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Sherwood Daughter, Jennifer Sherwood Gilland and husband Joseph and step-son, Robert Sherwood Grandsons, Tanner Gilland and Chrisstopher Sherwood Brothers, Kenneth Kilgore and wife Linda and Lynn Jackson and wife Tammy Sisters, Judy Fillmore and husband Phil, Faye Jackson, Barbara Jackson and Rita Aycock A host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at New Salem Baptist Church, Clinton. Funeral Services will follow at 7:30pm with Bro. Don Long officiating. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 am in the Anderson Memorial Gardens, Clinton
