Shirley A. Kistler, age 74, Logansport, passed away at 7:20 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis. Born in Peru on April 16, 1944, she was the daughter of Billie D. Schache, Sr., and Mary Jane Demuth Schache. On February 3, 1968, she was married to George Kistler, who survives. A homemaker, Shirley was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles and playing “Words with Friends”. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons, Matthew (Martika) Kistler, Attica, and Aaron (Stephanie) Kistler, Houston, Texas; brother, Don (Linda) Schache, Walton; grandchildren, Abigail, Kistler, Aubrey Kistler, Analia Kistler and Andrew (Laura) Kistler; nephew Josh (Erica) Schache. A brother, Billie D. Schache, Jr., preceded in death. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 25th at Kroeger Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, following visitation, also at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Rev. Colleen Harden officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
