Shirley A. Holman, 79, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019, at Fayette County Hospital LTC, Vandalia, IL. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Joe Lawson, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: Fayette County Hospital LTC, Activity Fund. She was born May 9, 1939, in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Clarence A. & Dorothy E. (Forbes) Kistler. Married Delano R. Holman August 13, 1955, Iuka, MS, he passed away February 27, 1993. She was former Owner/Operator of West End Greenhouse and was formerly employed at P.N. Hirsch Warehouse and Johnson, Stephen, Shinkle Shoe Co., all of Vandalia, IL. She is survived by: Sons – Ed Holman & Mary, Round Rock, TX, William “Bill” Holman & Helen, Brownstown, IL and Allen Holman & Bobbie, Fillmore, IL; 5 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; Brothers – Wallace Kistler, Arthur , IL, John Kistler and Mike Kistler, both of Vandalia, IL; Sisters – Jane Emerick and Maree Chambers, both of Vandalia, IL. Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; Brothers – Jim and Forrest “Punk” Kistler; and Sisters – Donna Bell and Carol Harris. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Shirley A.
