(Picknell) Flanders, 62, of Sugarhouse Road, died suddenly on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the New London Hospital. She was born in New London, NH on July 30, 1956. Sheila graduated from Kearsarge Regional High School in 1976 and became a LNA. Years ago she worked for the Pleasant Lake Inn and later worked for the New London Hospital and the William P. Clough Extended Care Center. She was a lifelong resident of the area spending most of the time in Elkins. Sheila loved animals including horses, dogs and birds. She enjoyed taking trips with Terrapin Tours. She liked to be outside, go for rides, scouting for deer , going to the ocean and fishing. Sheila was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. She just enjoyed being with people and loved life. Most of all, Sheila loved her family and spending time with them. She is predeceased by her father, George E. Picknell. Sheila is survived by two sons, Eric Flanders and Mark Flanders both of New London, NH; her mother, Barbara (Gay) Picknell of New London, NH; a grandson, Mark “MJ” Flanders, Jr. and her boyfriend, Chester Gowing of Canaan, NH. A graveside service will be held in Elkins Cemetery in the spring. Print Obituary
