Rose M. Church, age 65, of Berwick, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, a patient of the Commonwealth Wilkes Barre General Hospital. Rose was a lifelong resident of Berwick. Rose was born on Friday, May 22, 1953 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Walter and Janet (Klinger) Lapinski. Throughout her younger years, Rose attended the Berwick area schools, and later graduated from the Berwick High School in 1971. On August 24, 1974, Rose married her loving husband, Carl M. Church, Sr. of Berwick. In addition to her parents, Rose was also preceded by a brother, George Lapinski on August 17, 2013. Survivors in addition to her husband include two children: Tammy M. Church of Berwick and Carl “Carly” M. Church, Jr. and wife, Miranda, of Bloomsburg; two grandchildren, to whom she was lovingly known as “Nanny Rose”: Riley Church and Katlynn Church: siblings: Joseph Lapinski and wife, Jacalyn, of Montoursville, Thomas Lapinski and wife, Jeannie, of Bloomsburg, and Christine Lapinski of Danville. A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eight St., Bloomsburg. Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Deacon David Lapinski, officiating.
