Roberta was born on April 3, 1944 in Ione, WA. She was the second of three children born to Tom and June Wills (Bostrom). Roberta was raised all over the United States following her father’s work on bridges and dams. Roberta was a bartender and waitress her whole life. The majority of the time it was through the American Legion. She worked as a bartender until 1998 when she retired. She met her husband, Billy, in high school and were married in 1961. Following their marriage, they made their home in North Fork, CA. They lived there until 1969. Roberta moved to Coarsegold, CA after her divorce to Billy. This is where she met her second husband Jerry Haanen. Roberta and Jerry married in the year of 1979. Shortly after, Roberta moved to Fresno, CA before moving to Placerville, CA to be closer to her mother. In 1980, Roberta and Jerry divorced before she moved. In Placerville, Roberta met her third husband, Delbert Preston in 1980. They courted for a year before they were married in 1980. Roberta and Delbert made their home in Pollock Pines, CA and stayed there until Delbert’s passing in 1989. Afterwards, Roberta moved in 1991 to Hillsboro, OR. She loved dancing and music. Any kind of dancing, with any kind of music, at any time! She would make her four sons sit and watch Ed Sullivan and other bands. She was always a good cook and could always throw together a meal. Roberta loved her family as well as her many dogs, a lot which she had adopted. She enjoyed cuckoo clocks and watching the Hallmark channel, and of course, her soap operas. She was a home-body, but loved to throw parties and have her family around. Roberta is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson; Anthony. She is survived by her sisters; Carrie Wills and Murlane Webb, her children and their significant others; Thomas Coltra and Linda Harrison of Aloha, OR, Terry Coltra of Hillsboro, OR, Robbie and Alicia Haanen of Sandy, OR and Scott Preston of Beaverton, OR, and four grandchildren.
