Obituary for Robert Bosman Print Robert Bosman, of Sterling Heights, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on February 5, 2019. He was 91 years old. Bob was born on July 22, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Bernard and Cornelia (nee Terbeck) Bosman. When he was a young man, Bob earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of American and later went on to serve his country honorably during the Second World War in the United States Navy. He later met and married the love of his life, Dolores Marie McKim, on October 14, 1950 at St. David Catholic Church in Detroit. The couple made their first home in Detroit before settling in Mt. Clemens. Bob worked in many positions, from a tool salesman at Sears to a security guard at Detroit Bank & Trust, the Federal Reserve, and Chrysler, until he took ownership of his own business in 1964, Cook’s Lamp Shop in Roseville. Bob owned and operated the store with his family until his retirement in 1992. Outside of his work. Bob enjoyed flying and piloting planes, landscaping, hunting, and reading. He also enjoyed spending time in northern Michigan in his retirement. He was a true family man who truly loved his entire family. Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Bob is survived by his living wife Dolores; cherished children Marcia (Brian) Connolly, Claudia (John) Ross, and Robert (Cyndi) Bosman; beloved grandchildren Gary, Kati, Christopher, Daniel, Michael, Sarah, and the late Maggie; and twelve adoring great-grandchildren (their Papa). Bob is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Hennie Carabelli. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 2-8pm with a Rosary service at 7pm at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Michigan 48026. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 11, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 57575 Romeo Plank Rd, Ray, Michigan 48096 at 10am. Instate beginning at 9:30am at the church. Internment at Ostego Lake Twp. Cemetery in Gaylord, Michigan. Memorials may be addressed to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
