Obituary of Richard Wright Richard Wright, age 93, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at CareOne at Somerset Valley in Bound Brook, NJ. Mr. Wright was born in Elizabeth, raised in Roselle and for the past 60 years had resided in Warren. Mr. Wright was a Merchant Marine. He started out as a lineman for NJ Bell, advanced to a chief switchman and retired as a power systems analyst for Verizon in 1987. He was the owner and operator two local businesses, Donroman Corporation and AAATool, both in Roselle, NJ. Mr. Wright was on the Board of Directors for Roselle Savings Bank for 30 years and was a Rotarian in Roselle for 40 years. Mr. Wright was a private pilot and was a member of the Morristown Flying Club. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii. Mr. Wright was also loved to entertain with family and friends. Mr. Wright is predeceased by his loving wife Joan Wright in 2016. He is survived by his two sons, Richard A. Wright, Jr. and Christopher G. Wright and his three grandchildren, Laura, Stephen and John. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside, NJ. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America[Link].
