Rena Madge Hammett March 25, 1930 – February 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook Rena Madge Hammett, 88 of Panama City, FL, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019. She was born on March 25, 1930 in Scottsboro, Alabama to Henry Grady Clemons and Tennie Mae Law Clemons. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Panama City for over 33 years. She was also an active member of the Panama City Woman’s Club for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Charles Edgar Hammett; brother Billie Boyd Clemons and a sister, Betty Clemons Sullivan. She is survived by a sister, Catherine Clemons Cameron; nieces and nephews, Gail Cameron Zeigler, Bobby Cameron (Sandy); Phil Cameron (Cindy); David Sullivan (Betty); Tony Sullivan (Marla), Sandy Sullivan McElyea; stepdaughter, Janie Hammett Harlow (W.C.); stepson, Chuck Hammett Jr. (Kathi); four step-grandchildren and many great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make memorial donations to First Presbyterian Church in memory of Rena Hammett.
