Myrtle Alien Malone, age 93, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born June 5, 1925 in Claremont, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Amanda (Harold) Bellinger. She married Clyde Malone and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1996. Myrtle was the head cook in dietary at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital for 18 years. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two sons; and five brothers. Survivors include four daughters, Lilly Malone Brookhart and husband, Reverend James, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Pattsy Malone Dicus and husband, William, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Brenda Malone Dorney and the late Orman, Jr. of Peoria, Illinois, and Connie Malone of Lawrenceville, Illinois; four grandchildren, Richard Brookhart, Orman Dorney III, Donna Dorney Flack, and William Dicus, Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Brittany Dorney, A.J. Brookhart, Robert Flack, Lorin Flack, Andrew Flack, and Claire Dorney; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, February 25, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
