Michael’s Obituary Michael C. Thompson, Sr. of Levittown died on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 88. Born in Hamilton Township, NJ, Mr. Thompson has been a resident of Levittown for 65 years. Mr. Thompson worked for General Motors for 37 years until retiring and was a member of U.A.W. Local #731 in Trenton. Mr. Thompson was a Navy veteran of Korea and was a member of the American Legion Post #433 in Morrisville. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge #2085 in Bordentown, NJ and AARP Beloved husband of Alice for 68 years, Mr. Thompson was the loving father of of Dennis J. Thompson and his wife Eileen of Levittown, Kevin P. Thompson and his wife Joanie of Bristol, Colleen M. Wassum and her husband John of Morrisville, and Alison Brown and her husband Rodger of Fairless Hills. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters Marie Downey of Browns Mills, NJ and Anna Guindin of Columbus, NJ; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael C. Thompson, Jr.; grandson, Timothy Patrick Wassum; sisters, Marguerite Bendel and Louise Rodgers and brothers, Charles M. and Joseph F. Thompson. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 until 11 a.m. on Thursday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
