Melvin’s Obituary Melvin Edward Johnson, Sr. (91) was called to his eternal rest on Sunday, February 3, 2019. Being an avid football fan, it seems fitting that this Marine with his warrior’s heart, chose Superbowl Sunday for his Homegoing. Husband to the late Virginia (nee Shawen), he is survived by children Sharon Smith (Larry), Donna LaRocco (George), Melvin Jr. (Debbie) and Dawn Lang. He was a devoted Grandfather to Christine Johnson (Paul), Angela Harrity (Jeff), Brian LaRocco (Angela), Derek Smith (Michelle), Joseph Spinelli (Camille), Andrea Brown (Harry), Justin Carter (Ria), Andrew Johnson, Gregory Johnson, Carl Lang, Jr., and Ryan Lang. Also proud Great-Grandfather to Brady, Logan, Jack, Olivia, Riley, Nicholas, Elise, Alana, Brody, Jacob, Justin, Emily, Elena, Victoria, and Alex Family and friends may call on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel at Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery.
