Mary Margaret Sprague, age 87, life long resident of Frankton, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 31, 1931, in Elwood the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Hays) Etchison. On May 25, 1951 she married the love of her life George Sprague. She graduated from Frankton High School in 1949. She was a faithful member of the Frankton First United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She served as president of the Women’s Fellowship. Mary Margaret was a seamstress and helped with many weddings and activities at the church. She was a co-owner with her husband of Sprague’s Auto Body & General Merchandise Store in Frankton. She served for many years on the Madison County Election Board. She also assisted her mother in wrapping bandages for the troops during W.W. II. She is survived by her loving husband, of 67 years, George Sprague, two sons, Roger Sprague and Brian (Andrea) Sprague, daughter, Debbie Paschal all of Frankton, grandchildren, Adonica (Jason) Ellis of Frankton, George (Lindsay) Paschal of Anderson, Kristina (Josh) Walls of Lapel, Alicia (Sam) Schilke of Fishers and Whitney Sprague of Elwood, great grandchildren, Skylar, Garek and Jonah Ellis of Frankton, Mariah Paschal of Anderson, Jentry & Jamisyn Walls of Lapel and Charli Schilke of Fishers. Several nieces & nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mary Etchison, brothers, Donald and Maurice Etchison, granddaughter, Natalie Sprague, great-granddaughter, Ella Paschal and son in law, Ed Paschal. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Kyle officiating. Burial will follow in the K. of P. and I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton. Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton.. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Frankton First United Methodist Church.
