Mary Ellen Edwards, 57, Indiana, died Friday, February 8, 2019, at her residence. The daughter of William Young and Violet Jennings, she was born July 17, 1961 in Indiana, Pa. Mary Ellen will be remembered as a strong woman who was a good person that liked to cook, knit, and crochet. She also enjoyed family gatherings and holidays. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Surviving are her sons, Walter and Muhammad Maxwell, both of Indiana; grandchildren, Trinity and Mahleek Maxwell; sisters, Parris Bibbs, Akron, OH, Debbie Salichak Scarborough, Ontario Canada, Sheldon Grooms, Meadville, PA, and Robin Young, Pittsburgh, PA; favorite nieces and nephew Tuesday, Carmen, and Patrick; favorite cousins, Joann West, Susan Heberer, Sherie Williams, Virginia Buggs, William and Gregory Buggs. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral arrangements will be private and under the direction of the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be mailed to Walter Maxwell, 882 South 3rd Street, Apt D, Indiana, PA 15701.
