DATELINE: GASTONIA, NORTH CAROLINA Marie Patterson Grigg Marie Patterson Grigg, 80, of Gastonia, NC, passed away on February 14, 2019 at her home in Gastonia, NC. She was born in Rutherford County, NC, to the late Oscar Wiley Patterson and Vivian Gertrude Burgin Patterson and was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Garteul “Bud” Grigg. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Grigg, brothers, C.D., Herman, Buddy, Junior and Marshall Patterson and sisters, Mazelle Shumpert, Virginia Short and Patricia Ann Patterson. Marie enjoyed sewing and making clothing for people. She was a joyous person who was loved by everyone who met her. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
