Luz M. Benique, age 80, of Camden, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico and has been a resident of Camden for over 35 years. Luz enjoyed music, flowers, and butterflies. Her favorite activities were shopping and going out to eat. Most of all, Luz loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed. Luz is predeceased by her parents, Ramon Caban and Eugenia Feliciano and her husband, Isabel Benique Ruiz. She is survived by her children, Jose Benique, Rosa Padilla, Nancy Monserrate, Lucia Benique, Migdalia Benique, and Genoveba Benique; 1 brother and 3 sisters; 17 grandchildren; 58 great grandchild; 1 great grandchild; and beloved dog, Sully. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on February 8, 2019 from 10am-12pm at Funeraria Hernandez, located at 2426 Cove Rd., Pennsauken, NJ 08109. A funeral ceremony will begin at 12pm at the funeral home. Luz will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken, NJ.
