Miss Lucy Mae Dalton, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, early Wednesday morning, February 20, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Billy McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 AM Saturday, prior to the service in the mausoleum chapel. Lucy was born July 30, 1931 in Rockingham County to the late John A. and Maggie Sue Ingram Dalton. She was a former member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a retired supervisor with the textile industry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Minnie Sue Ward, Lena Preston and Betty Lou Dalton; 4 brothers, John Dalton, Beverly Dalton, Ray Dalton and James Dalton. Survivors include a sister, Catherine Dalton and a brother, William Dalton, both of Jamestown and numerous nieces and nephews.
