LaVerne was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 8, 1927 to Agnes and Edward Mertens. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Eisert of Bella Vista, son, Bruce Eisert of Coupeville Washington, daughter, Janet Eisert Graven (Erik) of Evergreen, Colorado, and granddaughters Carolyn and Elena Graven. LaVerne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. LaVerne grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she worked for the Milwaukee police department. She met her husband, Leonard, at a dance hall in Milwaukee, and they had a loving marriage for over 64 years. While living in Rochester, Minnesota, LaVerne worked for the Olmsted County Extension Services as a social worker. She was a member of United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista. LaVerne enjoyed participating in church activities, crafts, cooking, jigsaw puzzles, and traveling with her family. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., February 15th, at United Lutheran Church, Bella Vista, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
