Kevin J. Carney, 69 of Hilltown township died peacefully at his home in the arms of his wife Diane on February 1, 2019. Kevin was husband to Diane for 45 years of marriage. Born in Toronto, he was the son of William and Catherine (Lavelle) Carney. Kevin moved to the United States at the age of 6 and attended St. Athanasius elementary school, where he met the love of his life Diane (McNally). At the age of 15, Kevin and Diane began dating and have been in love ever since. He attended Cardinal Dougherty high school graduating class of 1967. After serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, he began his plumbing apprenticeship in Philadelphia. Kevin became a Master Plumber and in 1976 started his own company, Carney Plumbing Heating and Cooling, in his garage alongside his wife. Kevin was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart parish. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed sailing, fishing, hunting, cooking, reading, and playing golf. Kevin enjoyed life to the fullest and loved telling you just how he lived that life, with colorful stories of his past with close friends and family. From Anguilla to Ireland, Kevin and Diane have had many adventures and Brigantine has always been their fun family home. Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Diane, his sons Kevin (Shannon), Ryan (Kate), Sean (Hector), his grandchildren Owen, Michael, Claire, Molly and Daniel, his sister Margaret Morris and 17 nieces and nephews. Kevin is predeceased by his mother and father, brother Thomas Carney, sister Kathleen Smirnov, Andrew Renzi who he viewed as a son, and his loyal dog Gretta. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Friday, February 22 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 100 Broad St., Hilltown, PA 18927 from 9:00-11am. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11 AM.
