John P. McGilvreay, age 70, passed away peacefully at home on February 17, 2019. John was a longtime resident of New Hampshire, a graduate of Laconia High School, attended Belnap College, and served in the U.S. Army. John had a heart of gold, told bad jokes, lived on Dunkins, and was a professional “I know a great shortcut” driver. John was the beloved husband of Maureen McGilvreay (Sullivan). He was the proud father of Erich McGilvreay and his wife Colleen, Kerri McGilvreay-Reale and her husband John, and Shannon Campaniello and her husband Nick. John’s grandchildren Emma McGilvreay, Liam McGilvreay, Lucy Campaniello, Alex Reale, Quinn Reale and Raymond Campaniello gave him much love and joy in his life. A private service will be held for family and friends.
