Obituary for Joao F. Albuquerque Joao Albuquerque, 64 of Pawtucket died Tuesday at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Pascoag surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria (Correia) Albuquerque. Born in Penalva do Castelo Mareco, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (da Natividade) Albuquerque. Prior to his retirement Joao was a house keeper and prior to that a machine operator at the former Slater Dye Works of Pawtucket for many years. Beside his wife he is survived by a son, Jose Albuquerque of Pawtucket; two brothers, Manuel Albuquerque and Jose Fernando Albuquerque both of Pawtucket; a sister, Aida Matos of Portugal. His funeral will be held on Saturday, December 31st at 8:30 a.m. from the CHEETHAM FUNERAL HOME, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 a.m. Visitation on Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
