Joan’s Obituary Joan Wemple, 88, of Pana, died February 16, 2019 in her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to AAMP for Autism of Pana or VisionWay Christian School of Taylorville. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Joan was born October 24, 1930 in Maroa, IL, the daughter of Frank and Zelma (Tolby) Caldwell. She married E. Wayne Wemple February 28, 1948 in Moweaqua, IL. He preceded her in death October 31, 2018. Joan was a member of Pana Christian Church and a housewife. Surviving are her sons, Gary (Nancy) Wemple of Hillsboro, IL and Don (Liz) Wemple of Nokomis, IL; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, three brothers, four sisters, grandson, Aric Wemple and great-granddaughter, Sidney Theresa Wemple. Read More
