Jo Ann B. Patrick December 2, 1950 – February 24, 2019 Jo Ann Roughton Basnight Patrick, 68, of Columbia, died, Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton. Born in Tyrrell County, December 2, 1950, she was of the late Alver Roughton and Wilma Simmons Roughton who survives. She was married to Charles Basnight, Sr. who preceded her in death and later she married David Patrick who survives. She was a member of the Soundside Missionary Baptist Church, she loved to travel and play table games. She enjoyed sharing a meal and, spending time with her family. She was a good wife, great mother who loved her grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia, Chapel. Steve Bryan will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In addition to her husband surviving is a son Charles H. Basnight and wife, Jennifer; a daughter, Terry E. Dail and husband, Chuck both of Wilmington; four grandchildren Noah H. Dail, Cameron Dail, Connor Dail and Rori E. Basnight; two brothers, Ben Roughton of Asheville and David Roughton of Plymouth. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia.
