OBITUARY Jim A Butner Sr. November 14, 1958 – January 31, 2019 James A. Butner, Sr., 60, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019. He was born November 14, 1958 in New Albany, Indiana to Dora Ann Worden Belviy and the late James E. Butner, Jr. Jim served in the U.S. Marines and was General Sales Manager for Jim Butner Auto in Clarksville, Indiana. Jim was a car and truck enthusiast, participated many years in the Toys for Tots Program for children, and could most often be found on his mower. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. Jim’s happy-go-lucky attitude and laughter will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Butner, Jr. and a daughter, Mindy Lynn Butner. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Barger Butner; children, April S. Butner-Nalley (Christopher), James A. Butner Jr., and Joseph Ryan Butner; mother and step-father, Dora Ann and Steve Belviy; step-mother, Dorothy Dean Butner; siblings, Sheila Arms, Deborah Butner, Tony Knight, Tammy Butner Naville, Alice Butner, and James E. “Bo” Butner III; grandchildren, Kyleigh, Elizabeth, Alyss, Cooper, Jacob, and Brooke; and numerous nieces and nephews. It was his wish to be cremated. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2 pm ~ 8 pm Monday, February 4, 2019, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN.
