James’ Obituary James Daulton Moore of Mooringsport, Louisiana was born in Arkansas on January 29th, 1939 to Charles Daulton and Virginia Neal Moore and fell asleep in death January 21st, 2019 due to complications from a stroke. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on February 16, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5597 Shreveport Blanchard Highway, Shreveport, LA. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 8, 1973, continuing as an active follower of Jesus Christ and a witness of Jehovah until his death. Throughout his many years of faithful service, he cherished the privilege of sharing regularly in the volunteer ministry work, including serving in the full-time ministry as a regular pioneer until his illness. Additional privileges he enjoyed over the years included serving as an elder in the Vivian congregation and assisting in the construction of Kingdom Halls as well as with disaster relief through the voluntary construction and disaster relief committees of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Jimmy’s love for all things cars and trucks was quite evident throughout his life. He was employed by Claude DeBeaux Ford in Vivian for the past 33 years where he earned numerous certifications, including the prestigious distinction of being named an ASE Master Mechanic. Additionally, he was well known for building custom cars and trucks through the years; most famously, his beloved “Puddle Jumper” trucks. Jimmy also had a passion for hunting, fishing and the great outdoors and loved to share this passion with others. There are numerous individuals who still express appreciation for Jimmy teaching them the skills he had honed over the years. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 59 years, Linda Sue Moore, son Benjamin Floyd Moore and sisters Margie Fenley, Lucy Hill, and Ginger LaPrade.
